I have success in my rack using Zoomed UTHs on rheos. The temperatures never fluctuate, and the cool sides are 79 degrees with a combination of the heated air in the tub and the outside temp in the room of 75 degrees.. works fine for me, and I see no reason to spend more money and change things.

I have my reptile room heated to 80-82 degrees.

I use a ranco thermostat connected to 3" heat tape for their hot spot :).

Lol that was one of the reasons I liked my old apt, free heat. Everyone else hated coming over though, always complaining it was hot :P . Now Im gonna have to cover the top (have a glass tank). Or maybe I'll just switch to the tub way of life (even if they are freakin ugly).

I have pro-product radiant panels in my cages and heat rope in routed channels in my racks all running on Herpstats. Its not cheap but is the greatest investment you can make IMO.

I have a ceramic heater to heat the room in general, UTH for the hot side, and during the day a general heat lamp near the tubs.
In my room, I keep my colubrids, and have UTH's, and a night 15/25 watt heat light that is on 24/7 on each tank, and on one, a light just for having light.
