Questions about my daughter's new BP
I'd recommend more foliage clutter instead of just sticks. For example, my enclosure has a large fake plant that gives my BPs lots of cover. That way your BP can hide in it and fee safe.
Also, you may want to cover the left top side of your enclosure with an acrylic sheet ( can be purchased at any hardware store) to keep in heat and humidity.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f7b8b5b327.jpg
Re: Cant get my tank to stay the same temp and humidity
Up to you whether you want to keep the sti ks as long as your BP has somewhere to hide.
In regards to the acrylic sheet, if your temps and humidity are holding then you may not need it but if your temps are getting below 77 then you might want to consider it to trap some of that heat in.
By the way, you're doing a great job. Keeping an animal is one thing, learning how to keep an animal the best way possible is another.
Even after 9 years of having BPs I still have questions sometimes. We're all here to learn from one another and implement what works best for our animal and style of keeping.

I feel like when people mean "clutter" they mean foliage cover. Once you get those plants in, take a look at your enclosure and go from there. You may want to get rid of the sticks all together, will be up to you.

Alright, shes been climbing the sticks and seems to enjoy having them but yeah in order for foliage room I will have to remove some branches.

You can sometimes get sturdy fake vines at dollar tree or michaels but double check the materials to make sure they're safe. A lot of people say your hides should be identical but honestly as long as they're the appropriate size (bps like to feel a little hugged so go a teeny bit smaller than you think they need) that's what matters. If you notice them favouring one or the other try swapping sides to make sure it's not a temp issue. If they still favour that hide then it's probably the hide itself they like and you can get another one of that type for them if ya want. There's also tropical mister spray that can bump up your humidity if necessary.
Also kudos for the locking door enclosure type. BPs are escape artists and even with screen clamps I've seen too many cases of them getting out of top screens easily. If I'm gonna get a tank for a snake I prefer either locking doors or a sliding screen with a lock on either side.
