Re: Got off on the wrong foot
Yeah , 115 is dangerously high for an internal temperature, is say . Especially one it could easily lie on or crawl over ..
Well at least you'll be making progress once that's sorted out

1. As stated, nothing over 95F in the tank, period.
2. Hot side/spot - aim for 87-89F
3. Ambient about 80-83F - 92F is too hot for anything but hot side, and even then, it's too hot for comfort, but not dangerous.
4. Cool side - 78-81F, closer to 80F is better. I wouldn't want anything cooler than 78F or so in my tank.
5. Use the temp gun to see temps inside the hide - lift it quickly and hit the ground with the temp gun. Or, if a smaller hide, just put the temp gun at the hide opening, and shoot in.
6. Ambient temps I use both the temp gun and a thermometer. Most important is temps where the snake is.
7. Is it 75F before or after the mist comes in? If the mist is making it too low, as mentioned, reconsider that aspect, and simplify the cage.
8. I wouldn't put a thermostat probe inside the hide. As mentioned, the thermostat may read X, but the actual temp at the surface will be Y. You have to calibrate. Where my probes are on the hot side of my 6X2' tank, about 7 inches off the ground, and below the RHP, but above the UTH, they read about 84F. The temp on the UTH on the ground is 87-90F with an average of about 88F.
Even when probes are wedged between UTH and tank (like on my cool side), the probe will often read a different temp than inside the tank. Adjustments must be made.

So should i have an uth on the cold side also regulated to a cooler temp

Possibly. However. Keep it simple.
If I remember, you have heat lamps or CHE, correct?
My apologies for not going back and checking but I have the stomach bug and I am on my phone at the moment resting.
You should be able to adjust the direction/heat on those to get cool side temps up.
I have a hot side UTH and a cool side UTH but all my tanks are 6x2’ and my room temps are about 70.
Did you check the misting issue? How do the temps vary from when mist is on and when it is off?

My che is on a hang stand so ive lost the ability to rotate the direction however i do have the clamps for it and can change that configuration.
My house temp is set at 75 year round.
My che and uth are both on the same side of the tank and are both individualy with their own thermostats
As for the humidifier system , with the temp gun i have discovered that the 2 to 3 degree drop i was seeing on the the thermometer was a false reading from the mist. The gun only reflects a 1 degree drop but levels out in 15 or so seconds.
I did some final tweaking to the temps and have sustained 89-91 degrees on my warm side buy the cool side is the same as the inside of my house 75.
Still needs some work but getting it under control

So another wards thats a 115 degree oven. Thats crazy. My Hide tops don't go over 91 because the Hides Radiate the heat into the snake and their body is 91. Thats neurological issues at that temp.

Bro your going overkill. Ive read at least 3/4 of these posts tell you how to dial it in and keep it simple.. a CHE & a UTH is all you need in that tiny tank.

Good.. The simpler the better right now. If you want to do more cool things in the future just wait until you have a Large enclosure and the room for it. Nothing worse than a snake getting into things, it will drive you crazy.
