Probably weirdest one was around a knitting table. Talking about how I was working on removing a wart on my thumb and a woman asked "Was the wart from your snake?" Thought I misheard "bite" as "wart" since the wart was covered by a band-aid and she might've misheard me, but no, she thought snakes could give you warts.
