    Wife coming home tomorrow
Got the news today that they will be discharging my wife from the hospital. She has spend the week in the icu, but is making good progress and they will be sending her home. I am a nervous wreck trying to make sure everything is clean and there is nothing she can trip on.

Compound Bow- Diamond Infinite Edge by Bowtech.

Earlier this year I got my 1st Javalina w it. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...e7cae34153.jpg

Normally, I am a rifle hunter. But, since I took up archery, I have decided I prefer it. Lets face it.. Easy apples sitting on a hill waiting to shoot a deer or other critter at 300 plus yards... But bow hunting, makes ya have to earn that freezer filler... Gotta get alot closer... For me..at least 60yards w my bow.

Bowtech makes some good bows. I had one of their bows awhile back. I don't hunt or anything, I just enjoyed shooting the bow in the back yard.

I got all the glaze and underglazes on the Harry Potter scarf mug today! It took me over an hour to get all of it done, since there's so much detail work and each part needs 3 coats. This one is the first one, and it's Ravenclaw.

I'm really looking forward to seeing it come out of the kiln next week!

Yeah they do make great bows. Altho, the strings they put on them in factory are crap... Mine stretched within almost 20,000 arrows shot.. In about a 3 1/2 maybe 4 month period for me. I ended up putting a set of vapor trail custom strings on it, they come prestretched and ready for use.. And have been on my bow for about 50,000 arrows now, and still going.

    I target shoot and hunt.

Awe man, at first glance I thought that was supposed to be a Doctor Who mug, too bad.

My little peach tree seedlings seem to be holding their own. About a month ago, I bought some peaches from the grocery store and when I went to eat them, I saw that the seeds in two of them were sprouting! I packed the rest of the fruit around them and planted them in a cut in half whiskey barrel, hoping they'll make it. Today I plan to get some straw from the feed store to cover them and help keep them warm for the winter. Not all of Arizona is hot; it's been down to the freezing level at night here in Flagstaff for the past few weeks, and winter is coming.

    NERD WAR!!!

No need for a nerd war, a Doctor Who scarf version is also on the list. I will do all four Harry Potter Hogwart's Houses first, then a Doctor Who scarf version.

Although I had a LOT of lousy stuff today, I also finished up the day with a day at a friend's house where we were doing a 'cast iron rehab and giveaway' day. During this day, we had a huge bonfire and two of the people who got my pipkin cooking pots FINALLY put them in a fire and cooked in them!

And they didn't explode!!! They performed beautifully. Over just coals, they came to a rolling boil in only 15 minutes(from cold jelly chicken broth to roiling boil!). The handle of the smaller one was used to lift it out of the fire with an inserted stick, worked perfectly! The strap lid handles were perfect for lifting the lids off with a stick.

I'm quite pleased, considering I've waited almost a year for ONE of the people to actually put one of the pipkins into a fire to use it and prove it won't explode.
