I do love the unique beauty of both the spider and pinstripe morphs. But if given the choice, I would definitely have to side with a pinstripe morph if I were using it for a breeding project. However, I would take a spider morph if I were keeping it as a pet due to the "head wobble" issues that coincide with it's particular genetics.

My fiancee and I were in the same position as you are. We chose the pinstripe. There was just something about her that we really liked. It was a very close race though. The pin just barely edged out the spider.

my opinion changed from before, i think they're both two unique base morphs and it's just up to you. But I'm siding with pin combos, I'd still like to start spider projects tho (and i don't see the wobble as an issue). Here are some of the best pin combos I've seen imo.

    Albino pin

    Spider x pin combo

And this is my own pastel pin and my favorite of my collection.

    This is heartbreaking. Poor snake.

Even if I took the wobble out of the equation, I still like pinstripes better. No offence to the spiders of course, they are gorgeous as well :) I just love the thinner markings and the back stripe of the pin, they are my favorite. I actually have a little male pin that I got just this weeked!

I still prefer the spider. The base morph is just more striking. I love my pinstripe girl though. :)

I'm surprised i missed this thread before. I prefer spiders over pins, but i'm not a huge fan of either morph. Any pin/pastel combo looks dirty to me. I've never seen a clean lemon blast that'd i'd call nice. Whereas i HAVE seen bumblebees that are outstanding, like doolittles or coleslaws. I have 3 snakes in my collection with the spider gene. They all wobble to different extents. I think their quirkiness is amusing. It doesn't seem to bother them much, they still eat, poop and shed just fine.

Thats ONE example of a wobble and that one isn't even that terrible imo. Just because something has an imperfection doesn't mean it shouldn't be bred. In comparison, the spider wobble doesn't hold a candle to some of the imperfections and defects being bred into dogs by crappy standards set by the AKC...

I just think of my spiders having something like parkinsons disease. Its sorta what it reminds me of. Lol

I would never have a bulldog, just too many health issues. But as for SNAKES, I prefer pins over spiders and yes it's mainly because of the wobble. I'll probably always have both, but the spiders definitely take a back seat to the pins.

One thing that REALLY frosts me about the spiders though, you NEVER heard about the wobble issue until the price dropped to 'only' a few thousand bucks each.
