Your pastel is light and has nice blushing, but is browner.

My point is, just about every Pastel looks rather similar as older adults. Yes some will be a little more yellow than others as some will also be a little more browned.
People are too stuck on what a new hatchling looks like and put down large breeders for being browned out. Most brown out pretty much the same.

This is pointless. Sorry pit, all pastels are the same i guess. Even though yours is CLEARLY way more yellow, even in the dark. Maybe were color blind?!

Unfortunately, yesterday my 10 yr didnt come home from school (he decided to play instead of telling us first). So after searching for an hr with the police we finally found him and thank god he is safe! So... we will be going today instead to look her over. I woll post pics and such later this evening.

    Pastel?
I'm going to dive in here but not to argue with people. What I will say and I truly believe this is pastel quality does play a role in the quality of offspring. You can't tell me that NERDs lemon pastels look anything close to the same as joe shmoe down the road. He line bred his pastels for many years to produce the best examples he could. That proves that breeding the best examples makes the best babies. Now another thing I think is pastel quality I find comes out best I the combos, not strictly the single genes. Take the bumblebee. A high quality bee (Doolittle and karote) are stunners as adults. The thing that separates a high quality bee from a low quality bee is the pastel. I've seen some bees that personally look like slightly brighter spiders instead of the yellow and black sexyness that they should look like.

Here is my 1500g pastel female that I think is a very nice pastel for her size and age. Will she brown out more, yes. But I watched a very good friend of mine buy an OK pastel hatchling that wasn't even close to this yellow. So I leave it to you. What would you rather look at, bright yellow or brown?
