I love reading adult paranormal romance (adult vampire reads). I've read Hunger Games, Twilights, Fifty shades of Grey.
You may like the Anita Blake Series by Laurell Hamilton (very adult and like 21 books). Awesome I've read them all 3 times.
Black Daggar Brotherhood by JR Ward
Love at Stake series by Kerrelyn Sparks. Very steamy. Top 5 favorite series.
Southern Vampire Series sookie Stackhouse by Charlaine Harris also top 5.
Hope this list helps someone who's looking for a new series. Also, all authors are still writing these series.

For those that thought the Hunger games was simplistic....you should look up Battle Royale, it's pretty much the same plot, but MUCH more realistic imo, just the mindsets of the characters were so much more believable. That was a good read...even if it was a bit violent.

I'm sure that I'm alone on this one, but I would much prefer to read scholarly journals (mainly published by IEEE or MIT-CSAIL) or even technical manuals over literature any day.

I actually do read other books mainly about animals reptiles, mammals, aquatic but don't enjoy them as much as a book I can get lost in on a rainy day.

Reading is reading no matter what you like to read :), but I think you may be fairly alone. Reading for me is my down time, I like to tune out and get lost.

hmmm the Wicked Lovely series I feel in love with, Twilight series yes I did love and not sure why it was a bigger hit than any harry potter series but then everyone decided they hated it but ok, right now I'm reading City of Bones then theres City of Ashes and City of Glass but right now it's really good Wicked Lovely series has to do with Fairies, romance, royalty and war/violence through out the series, and the City series has to do with romance and demons :)

I just watched the movie 3 days ago! Holy crap that was super bloody and I can understand why the US banned it. It was more than just a BIT violent. The Hunger Games actually is based off of Battle Royale.

Aha the US didn't ban it! I have the book that I bought from Barnes & Noble on my desk...also the movie was terrible xD The plot was all screwed up, and the end was much different.
Also the Mortal Instruments series IS pretty good! Just read that one too. :D
