I just have to say...if you're acquiring snakes from shady people on Craigslist, quarantine them for a year before you put any of your animals anywhere NEAR them. You took a terrible risk putting one of your males in with this new female. It would be best to quarantine him now, as well.
It does look like a female, so I'm going with your assumption on that.
It's a exceptional normal, and if she is healthy and produces a good clutch, I would say she was worth her price tag.
