I agree, since he "gaurented" them, you should ask for some money back. If they turn out male I would flip. They look like pastels and a normal. I wouldn't hold your breath on them being het for anything, he obviously knows little to nothing about genetics.

We are just going to take the loss and move on. I can't tell you that there will be no more impulse buy or we drove here is for nothing so lets just buy something. lol So everyone has been saying 2 pastel and a normal, I know the first one is a pastel so the second one also looks like a pastel and the last one normal?

The first one is an outstanding pastel.

The second is an average pastel.

The third is a normal who has a slim chance of being het pied. If you like to play the lottery, breed it and find out. Otherwise, just treat it as a normal.

About the third ball I was just wondering why you guys think that it may be het pied? I know there a good chance that its not but I was just wondering why ppl think it may be.

There's not really a way to know for sure with hets except to breed them, but sometimes there are things, 'markers', that tend to crop up a lot in certain hets. In this case, there is a railroad track marker on the belly that often is related to het pieds. There are a few good threads around discussing them if you're interested, just search 'het pied marker.'

    Here's one:

And here's a good photo/explanation on a thread from another site:

Hope this helps. Learning your morphs is kind of overwhelming and exciting at the same time!

Thanks I'll go and check that out.

P.S. I know the only way to be sure is to breed them and we may just pick up a 100% het pied and breed it.

I can also see a pastel, a pastel in shed, and a normal possibly a het for pied due to the marker. Sorry for havin to learn things the hard way when it comes to determining and buying BP morphs. May this just be a reminder to newbies to research before spending any hard earned money. This is what BP.net for. There's alot of information and people here that is willing to help newbies avoid this kind of situation.

After thinking about it we decided to keep the first Pastel and sell the last two as normals. To help fund other ball python we would like to get.

The second BP photo'd looks to be a potentially good pastel to me, she/he just appears to be in shed?
