Re: No more Native Earth on National Pet Pharmacy?
National Pet Pharmacy has been deleting all of our voices from their facebook and has now made it so we can not post to their wall and express how we feel.

They have definitely lost all my business for my other pets.

Ill be watching this thread closely.

Nat Pet was supposed to have someone call me, but no phone call so far. I told them that I might be interested in just the aspen, but that it was a LOT of aspen bedding to store, and that I didn't use as much of that up in the time period.

I don't blame the company for not continuing to carry a product that they are losing money on. Normally the shipping on a decent order of food would equal the cost of the food, so the company would have to be making up a TON of money on other stuff 'we' would be ordering, and I for one admit, I wasn't adding much of anything to my orders. They are a BUSINESS and they must make money, not lose money.

This is all about poor customer service. They changed the policy from $4.95 shipping to free shipping only on auto-ship orders without any warning. Now they discontinue a product that many people had set up for auto-ship and that they can't easily replace. This could have a negative impact on the animals if food is low and the orders were due to be shipped this week.

They should have sent an e-mail to everyone with an auto-ship order in place and allowed us to get one last shipment so that we had time to look for another source. If they thought everyone that was stuck would just jump over to PFD.com they were sadly mistaken.

I have a buddy that feeds close to 200lbs a week so I think I might be able to swing it. If anyone else has an idea or better deal than $28 please share!

I am another Autoship customer that had no idea about until I read this Thread. No warning, and I would have been very upset had my shipment not shown up as expected. I called up and they played dumb... "Uh, you should have received and email". She also said... "Please don't curse me out (I had no intention to, as I am a business owner and can understand)... we have been getting a lot of upset customers about this".

Anyways, I used Simple Man's advice and got setup from their sister site Petfooddirect. $28 a bag for Native Earth Is not going to kill me. If anyone finds a cheaper/comparable or better product or offer online... PLEASE SHARE :)

    BIG THANKS Simple Man!

You guys just don't get it. It's not about the money. It's about how you treat your customers. They can change the business model and charge for shipping. They can raise the price. How they did it was bad. And this was the second time. They just gave everyone a flip of the bird and moved on. So have I.

That's not it at all. I have fed Mazuri and I don't like it. I'm not happy about it either but I'm not willing to sacrifice quality until I can find another solution. That's why I'm trying to track it down locally or setup an account. Mazuri runs $29 a bag

No I totally get it. The company was all but deceitful with their autoship customers.

If I had not seen this thread, my regular order WOULD have shipped without the food, which would have been below the $50 minimum for free shipping, so I would have paid three times the amount for just some aspen bedding.

I got charged the full shipping on a order of food, after they changed the $4.95 to the only Autoship $50+ orders free shipping without warning.

I nearly got hit with the full price of the food once, and the full price on the aspen once without warning.

BUT, people are complaining that they should continue to offer the food at the 'discounted' price and free shipping. A company cannot do that and remain in business when it's a loss rather than a profit.

I don't deny the company's policies of not warning autoship customers that policy/price will be changing is a very very poor one. But I was addressing those that somehow think it's unfair for a business to discontinue a loss-making deal.

I agree as well. What they have done is ridiculously poor business practice, and it is with an extremely bitter taste in my mouth that I continue to do business with them in any fashion (PFD).

At this point, it is a matter of currently known options, and a quick fix for a soon needed shipment.

I will continue to search for better options, and trust in the extensive knowledge and power of the group of the great members here. We will find a better solution, and the right people/company will eventually reap the rewards of doing business right.

Anyone looking to get setup to distibute near Vegas, I am good for 200 lbs every 2 months :)

They still havent deleted my comment on their facebook and have replied several times. I gave them the link to this thread so they could read if they so chose to. I understand that they can no longer ship the product for free, but the way they went about it all secretively is what has most of their customers upset, including me. The best I've been able to find so far is Mazuri for $22.50/50lbs. Still going to look into sow cubes though to compare ingredients and g/a.

The $29 Mazuri is a 50 lb. bag. The Native Earth is a 40 lb. bag and more expensive with the shipping.

My experience is that Mazuri 6F is as good or better than NE.
