On a $1000 budget and just starting collection... this is what I would do...
I'd buy 0.3 girls to start growing in '14
0.1 calico $400
0.1 enchi $350
0.1 spotnose $300
In '15
Add
0.1 Black Pastel $300
0.1 super pastel $250
1.0 Spinnerblast $450
In '16
You could potentially hatch out
Calico spinnerblasts
Enchi spinnerblasts
Spotnose spinnerblasts.
And by
'17 you could be hatchling out
Calico spinnerblasts
Enchi spinnerblasts
Spotnose spinnerblasts
Black pewter spinners
Killerspinners
:D

Hey now, these things take time....
and I was wondering why people suggested things that you could get for under $500 lol.

Wow this is a good question but one that i think every one is going to have a different answer for. If your talking as just pets and you are not ever going to breed and these are the only snakes you have i say go piebald bumblebee and superbutter/blue eyes!!! but if you are going to breed and are selling trading and keeping the babys go more simple Butter or Lesser Male/ Butter or Lesser Female / Normal female. I had to make this decision a couple years ago but the issue was not the rack system or space jsut did not have a lot of money for snakes to start so i started out with a Butter male and a couple of already proven adult female norms. i am sure every one has a different way that will work this is just what i like :)

Hm... I haven't even got my first yet! But for breeding I'd want a male, two females. Everything het pied. Maybe a pastel het pied male, pied female, and a het pied spider female (if that exists...) you could get pieds, spiders, pastels... that'd be pretty cool. Edit: didn't see the $1000 budget. I don't know morph prices. I also didn't know this was an old thread.
