Well I feel as a canadian I got to say. I have many "guns". I have a mossberg500a for home defence, many hunting rifles from .22 to .308, Several pistols. I do feel that many of the home defence models like the folding sub gun that started this thread are next to usless in any real situations. Even sofar as dangerous in untrained hands.:colbert: that being said its your right to own one just like its your right to wear your hat sideways and pants around your knees, but both of these defeat the intended propose. Many tactical shooting trainers would agree that tactial training is far more improtant then the weapon you chose to fill the role.

It is true that here in canada we cant get some of the more rediculous guns, but come through my door in the middle of the night and see if you can tell that I only have canadian guns

Tactical training is incredibly important. One thing that makes me like the Kel Tec I picked up is that it is a tactical gun. After three years of Army ROTC and ad nauseum MOUT training, it is a comfortable firearm that is handled just like an M4. Not to mention, practice practice practice is important for any weapon, for home defense, hunting, or just target shooting. I personally go to the range weekly. I also just took and passed all my qualifications for a concealed pistol license.

Not trying to argue, but trying to make it clear I didn't get this firearm to be cool or ghetto. Far from it. I would have likely bought it even without the folding feature.

On topic, I should be getting a package from Midway USA today with components for reloading. I reload 9mm with my housemate. He got a reloader for his pistol, since he goes to the range so much too, and he taught me how to do it. I find it fun, and it really is cost effective and safe if proper quality control is done.

"Home defense" is my excuse to go out and buy more guns. Sssh, don't tell DH! I didn't buy any of them specifically for that reason, but it's a great deterrent when the neighborhood knows there's a crazy veteran hillbilly lady on the block with a house full of guns and snakes. :D

Anyone up in the NW recommend some specific solid tactical classes they've taken? I'm always looking to improve the skills and try to take one a year.
