I believe in freedom of speech, but I'm not going to let random people I don't like walk into my home and start proselytizing.
I'm glad that bp.net lets me participate here, but it's their house, their rules. This isn't a public place, it's a privately operated forum.
Also, in regards to the person this thread is about: Who?
Re: I move to have all her threads removed...
She got banned! :8: That's awesome :P

There have been more banned members here than you can shake a stick at and their posts are all still around. You just don't see them because they have fallen far back in the timeline as hers will.
Despite the fact that the one starting all those threads was obviously misguided and ill-informed on more than a few topics, it's good to see so many informative posts from everyone else and those will undoubtedly help others who are still new to keeping reptiles. I think it would be best to keep the threads, overlook the ridiculousness of some of the discussions, and be thankful for so many knowledgeable keepers here on BP.net to draw information and experience from.

Doesn't sound like you do actually believe in freedom of speech. You are right, bp.net does not have to leave the posts on, and I don't believe they should just let anything go around here, especially if terms of usage have been violated.
Lets just be clear here though, as has been stated several times, her "violation" was that her opinion was different from most of us. She's just a minority, and unless her posts break those rules we need to be careful that we are not deleting things because they are not aligning with our own thoughts.
I think that you will agree that this can be reflected in many parts of our lives.
If we cannot show tolerance here, where can we show it?
Re: I move to have all her threads removed...
Hi,
Just to clear up some points raised in the last post.
Her "violation" was creating a second account ( she's up to 4 now by the way ) expressly for the purpose of continuing to troll the site.
We do not ban people simply for having differing opinions.
If her behavior on other forums hadn't clearly shown a pattern of trolling and she had stayed within the rules of this site she would still be here. Of course she may have had a reputation lower than we have previously seen.
We also rarely delete anything that does not break the rules of the site either.
We do move some discussions to the quarantine room and anything that falls outwith the family friendly guidelines will be removed - but that's generally it.

Re: I move to have all her threads removed...
Yes, thank you for that dr. I agree with the decisions made by the site.
I should not have used the word "violation", which is used to describe a breach of the terms of use. Really, it should have been more specific as the offence for which the OP is being accused, not by the site itself, but by some forum members who wish to delete her opinions from the site.
While I am posting, How do I go about asking a question about the quarantine room without going off topic in this thread?
Re: I move to have all her threads removed...
Hi,
You can either conatact any member of staff via PM or put up a thread in the site info forum. :)

Re: I move to have all her threads removed...
Really Derek? 4 different accounts?? Thats crazy! It really shows she isnt very intelligent either. Unless she has dial up and thinks her IP address is going to randomly change every time. Why would someone continue to make accounts from the same PC? I agree that it sounds like someone who was purely out for their own adgenda. Whatever that is I haven't figured out yet. Religion? Animal rights? If so then why does she have a snake? Someone said she may be someone with PTA or HSUS. If that were true she may have stolen photos and marketed them as her own.
Totally bad news either way. I just don't understand people like that. Ive also wondered if it is just a very bored person who sits on the net and does these things for personal entertainment. :colbert:
