Remember that you can be internally obese I have herd, you make be very thin on the outside but if you have a high fat/sugar diet then your arterys can still be laced with fat and you still run the risk of heart problems. Also your organs will be covered in fat, so just something to watch out for. Eat lots but make sure its not high sat fat, or super high sugar or salt.

    Good luck!

Update from me. I ended up losing 20lbs. I'm not 180lbs, and feel great.

I just starting doing portion control, and eating healthier food. I removed junk from my pantry. Makes a world of difference.

This topic is gonna get a lot of different replies, but that basically boils down to not everything is gonna work for everyone.

I've been at like all different ends of this spectrum. I'm 5'10" and I've been 145 with almost too low body fat, 235 with more than I care to share body fat, and 225 with only 10%. All that with just different goals in mind (except the fat one, that was just pure laziness).

Each individual needs a program that suits their own body and their own goals, there can never be a universal program that will work for every single person.

It's time for me to lose some weight - already started. It's a drag but do-able.
I basically pigged out for a year while I wrote my book, and now that it is finished it's time to diet for probably a year to peel it off. Not psyched, but ready.

I work out four times a week, but still need to lose some fat. I weight 200 now, and would like to be down to around 180, or so.

My weight loss plan involves working out for an hour 6x a week, and limiting calories most days to 1500 or less.

Last time I seriously tried to lose weight I dropped down to a size 0 on a similar program. I had abs!

I haven't read all of the replies, but all I have to say to someone that's trying to lose weight(fat) is PORTIONS, PORTIONS, PORTIONS!

...And excersize of course. But portions are something a huge amount of people over-indulge on. You may think you're eating something more healthy, but what good is eating something more healthy when you're going to be eating 4x of it.

    My success story:
    I've lost 50 lbs!

    At around my heaviest (170lbs):

After (you might have seen this pic on the pic thread, I'm on the right):

I've lost a little since this picture, but you get the jist of it.

Re: Anyone here tryiing to lose weight?
I'm trying, FINALLY. Horrible car crash in May, broke my femur in two places, my tibia and six ribs and am FINALLY able to get back to working out. Darn near a religious experience, being able to run again, albeit with a limp, lol! I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to walk again but physical therapy and my stubborn (or stupid, depending on who you ask, lol!) attitude made the difference. Now it's just a matter of losing the 20+ pounds I gained from sitting around for 3 months healing. Good luck to everyone on their individual endeavors!
