At present we've got 6 dark cornish and 8 austra-whites. I also had two broad brested bronze turkey poults until today - I found one dead an hour ago and now the other one won't shut up! No idea what happened, it was healthy for the first four days that I had it. I'll be hitting up Big R tomorrow to see if they still have any or if they've sold them and gotten some new ones.

The only meat birds we use are Cornish cross birds. And I should of been more specific that I was talking about egg layers.
I really would like some wyandottes especially gold or silver laced. And I've never seen a blue laced red so one of those would be cool too. I just really want something unusual that can produce an average amount of eggs. I have hybrids that pop out eggs like a gum ball machine.

Ditto on the Sussex. Love my Sussex, they are so friendly and chill. I can actually pick them up and pet them, the Wyandottes won't let me (and they were all raised the same way).

Any luck on getting another turkey poult? And are you doing the dark Cornish for meat?

Dark Cornish are most definitely for the dinner table! I picked up two more poults today along with two pullets that I am thinking are a buff cochin and 4 straight run birds that look like they'll be super tiny. They are smaller than the two day old poults and they already have fully feathered wings, and they looked cool, so I bought some! LOL I'll get some pics up at some point!

So, has anyone picked up and new birds? I think I'm gonna wait another month before I get mine just cause I want night temps closer to 70F.
