Pits are such an amazing breed with such a bad rep they dont deserve, every single one ive ever met has been nothing but a big mushy puppy that just love to be loved or give it, i used to have one named dasani and she was the sweetest thing ive ever met but unfortunatly i couldnt take her with me when it came time to move

I've had this boy for about 2 months now, and he's never bit or struck at me. I find I'm a bit nervous when taking him out, just because he reacts totally different from my other snakes when I give him that first "I'm here, don't be alarmed" touch on the side - he whips around immediately and stares at my hand, and I remind myself this isn't aggression, just his colubrid-like jumpiness haha.

I give him more cautious respect than my ball pythons, but I consider him just as trustworthy.

Oh, and I've found that the Woma stereotype of vicious feeding response is exaggerated (assuming mine isn't just a weirdo). He eats consistently, but he doesn't usually strike, I just leave the f/t rat with him and he chows down.
