i would like to own a ballxburm hybrid if you could actually work that out somehow.the thought of a snake with the length of a burm and the temperment of a ball seems to be quite a nice idea to me :snake:

Isn't that pretty much a normal burm? Burms are docile, just big, right?

Breeding two different snakes, like a Woma and a Ball python, or a Carpet Python and a GTP or a Blood x Ball. The babies and any future generation, no matter how close they look to a pure snake, will all be hybrids.

Hogg island boas and columbian boas are both Boa constrictors. I'm not sure that qualifies as a hybrid. Though it probably depends on which definition of 'hybrid' you want to use.

Well, like I said, it depends on which definition of the word 'hybrid' you want to use. In the strictest sense of the term, no they aren't hybrids since they are the same species. However you'll see many boa fanciers disagreeing with me on this because you're crossing two different localities and therefore not producing an animal that is pure to the locality. It would be like crossing a golden retriever with a poodle. It's still a dog, but to a poodle fancier it's a mutt and they probably would not want a dog like that in their kennels. So, in the same way, someone who breeds a Suriname X Columbian is still making boas, but they'd be mutts. And someone who is a fancier of Suriname boas probably wouldn't want a mutt boa in their collection.

I don't even know if that's possible.. or humane.

If it causes them pain or any type of mishap with their internal organs, then I think its wrong and cruel.

If not then sure, I'll take one!

I don't think there's anything unethical about it as long as records are kept and breeders are honest with what they are.

That being said, I personally hate them. Especially STP crosses.
