I am a paralegal with over 8 years of experience (Plaintiff and mostly Defendant) in the auto insurance industry, registered with the state. I find that most people are more likely to be afraid of me because of my profession than my reptiles.

I am a kitchen manager for what is now 2 restaurants. We recently closed our 3rd to make room for our catering expansion.
Fortunately, I don't work the line much anymore and mostly work days. I put in enough nights and weekends through the years I've decided to make a little less pay to help save my sanity.
I've been in the restaurant business for the better part of 25+ years, with a few breaks to try carpentry and excavation. I was a bartender for 14 years but was always cooking too until making the official switch to the kitchen about 8 years ago.
I don't love it, but I have a good gig where I'm at. It works for now while I figure what I want to be when I grow up....eventually.

(Un-) Civil Engineer, doing floodplain management, specifically reviewing new/revised floodplain maps and studies for our state’s requirements. Years ago I mis-heard a bit of a governor’s speech as “Mind-Numbing Bureaucratic Ghouls” and glommed onto it (although we really try not to be).

In the last year my husband left a 20-mumble year career doing mostly software/hardware testing, and is now a truck driver. He finally got that big diesel truck with dual rear axles he’s always wanted! :D

    Impressive stuff !!

Oddly enough when I went to school (many years ago ) one of my few friends was basically a genius .. anyways even at that young age 14 or so he always wanted to be a truck driver ... the others used to mock him at the time but many years later I bumped into his brother and it turned out that the lad did end up being a truck driver but for his own remarkably successful haulage firm ... he insisted on being a full time driver even though he owned he whole company !!

I'm a college student, but I work for the campus as a photographer and also for the school newspaper. I supplement it all with my own small photography business which has been getting more and more successful, particularly the past year! :gj: On top of that I also muck out stalls at the barn where I keep my mare so I'm a pretty busy person most days...it's worth it though!

What does everyone do for a living?
Full time butler, cook, and maid for my very spoiled companions.

From a daily routine of waking with sausage/bacon and biscuits (dog treats), letting them in and out all day and night, afternoon walk, vacuuming dog hair twice a day, dinner with a different menu rotated every four days, and of course, nighttime treats.

In between this, I must be available to be stuck on the couch with them during thunderstorms and Any amount of rain. It rains and storms quite frequently here. And the bathroom door must be open at all times- I have NO privacy.

But it sure beats the heck out of punching a time clock everyday! [emoji4]

I had to look that up. My first thoughts were:

"What style of karate is that?" and "What kind of investigations are a drug company doing that requires a black belt martial artist?"
