Re: Share Your Normals - Normals are Beautiful!
*sigh* I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks normals are just as wonderful as any morph.
(and hey, if you're looking for a companion and not a trophy, 20-50$ sounds better than 2500$ )
Can't wait to get my first normal ball python! She's coming in next week. :)

Thanks, she looks a bit harley, or even like a reduced rio. I've also seen some stripey reduced mojos that she resembles but she's one of Outbacks fancies so,... normal until proven other wise.

I just took some pics of him today :)

My camera(phone) really doesn't bring out his real colors! He's much more yellow than it shows.
I can't wait until my dad retires his Nikon so I can have a real camera :D

My Baby
Hubby and I just got him yesterday. We call him Skull because of his markings. Pardon the cell phone pic. :)

My lovely normal
This is my big girl Claide. She's a 2012 baby and currently weighs just over 1500g which is madness as I have a 2011 girl who is only just 1200g.

This is my boy Taz. I think he is still a little thin, but I am proud of how well he is doing. I got him from a nature center after someone brought him because they didn't want him anymore. He was severely dehydrated, emaciated, and had pneumonia. He is eating on his own now! No more tube feeding!!!
He looks a little lighter than most Ball Pythons I have been seeing. I don't really know much about morphs and things like that.

This is my bg girl normal, Hera. She weighs in just under 2200 grams. The little guy under her is a orange ghost lol.

Share Your Normals - Normals are Beautiful!
This is my new normal female Boo. She was born out of a 12 gram boob egg and has already had 5 meals. Literally the cutest thing I have EVER seen!! http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/16/zugy2ube.jpg
She came from a spot nose X leopard pairing, but everyone that saw her thinks there is something going on. Once I pick up my nice camera from my parents house, I can get some good pictures that show her off more :)

This is a regular occurrence. It's usually punctuated by a mildly offended "excuse you" on my part, and an ever-more nonchalant cheek kiss from him.

2013 clutch normals
Here are two more Normals from my 2013 clutch, (5 Normal x 3 Cinnamon); these were hatched Aug 29/30, so that makes them 3 weeks old. Both share their mother's long tail stripe. I would classify their attitude as "leaning toward vicious"...cranky lil' dudes, but both are eating. They both struck at the camera seconds after snapping these pics. I'll start handling them a little more to see if I can mellow them out a bit. There sire was cinnamon, and there were 3 beautiful cinnies in the clutch, but these two got a nice dose of brown hue from him, beautiful coloration; just very nice lil' Normals, (at least I think so)..

I love normals!
Here's the one who started it all, my 2011 normal male, Houdini. He was the tiniest little runt worm as a hatchling, and is still very small for his age. We switched to rats and now he's gaining weight exponentially.
(First is 2012, second is 2013)

and my 2012 normal female whom I recently sold to a breeder who badly wanted her for her beauty. She really was a looker! Clean with dark blacks and bright peaches, clean belly and beautiful flames.

I also have a het pied female coming in next week!

Re: Share Your Normals - Normals are Beautiful!
This my girl Faye. She's was my first snake :) I'm sure she's a normal but someone suggested she might have something else (what do you think?) Regardless, she's still my favorite out of my little collection.

Here's my little monkey a few days after coming home. These are the pics I show the "eww, gross! A snake!" crowd.

The last one really doesn't do her justice, since it was taken in 3D. She's also a bit larger now.

Re: Share Your Normals - Normals are Beautiful!
Hola, peeps. I've been keeping ball pythons for nearly ten years now. Started out rescuing and moved into breeding. I'm here to share some of the dudes and ladies I shared my life with insofar.
First is Dammit. He was the first ball python I encountered and was rescued from a high kill shelter on his last day by my brother, then gifted to me. He was also the biggest ball python I have ever personally seen. At the time of his death, he was pushing six feet and his head almost filled my palm.

Next up is Pythagoras. He was my special snake. He came from a crack house, no really, he did. He also never got any larger even with regular meals. When he died at age six he was about the size of a two year old. His vet couldn't explain it but chalked it up to early development problems or a genetic defect.
http://i.imgur.com/MT6lbUu.jpg
Vorenus is a five year old male, rescued from a home where he was sealed into a tank with Shy, my normal female. The tank had a pane of glass covering about 90% of the top that was fixed on with aquarium glue, rendering the tank uncleanable. Live mice were dropped in every month or so. Despite this, Vorenus is a super sweet boy and now is a fat four and a half feet long.
http://i.imgur.com/zVqoURn.jpg
http://i.imgur.com/iDzL4eq.jpg
And finally Shy. Oh, Shy... she is what some would call a 'problem snake'. Where Vorenus seems unaffected by the trauma from his youth, Shy never recovered. She's defensively agressive much of the time, goes off feed for no apparent reason, and attacks f/t rats like they'll kill her if she doesn't kill them first. I've been bitten by her more than a dozen times over the years but I love her to death. She suffered multiple injuries from live food as a baby, leaving big dents out of her muscles along her sides. The scars have healed with time but this is definitely a ball python that lacks trust in anyone.

Heres Barricade, she is my biggest ball that I have at 3200 grams right now.

Not sure if my Rizzo is a normal or if she may actually be a harlequin. She didn't stay on the box very long... I guess she saw me whip out my phone to take a picture and she was like, "forget this!" *slink, slither, slink* lol

I haven't got a name that fits him yet, he's got quite the personality. Very active and very hissy.
