Do you think spyware would actually let you uninstall it? Nope, you gotta go mideval on it. Avast! is pretty good at removing that stuff and it's free.

Great fix! Any no, a mac holds its value way better than a PC

I have a Macbook Pro 3 years old.

    Never had any problems.

Never have to buy/download additional anti-virus/spyware software.

You get what you pay for. :)

I have an HP tablet 3 year old and have never had any virus/spyware problems. I have had virus protection in the past, but I don't really see why that's a negative.

The best and cheapest solution is to not download things that are obvious malware, but that's not 100% so yeah you can spend 10 minutes, one time, to install antivirus software. That's a lot less time than it would take to pick out a new mac.
But if you're really concerned, you can download Ubuntu, and that's free!

Fair enough. Not everyone is for a MAC. :)

I'm just saying from personal experience. I have owned BOTH a PC and a MAC, and I will never go back to a PC.
