It's a site where you basically post a "text" type message that anyone who "follows" your account can read. So during the day you can post tidbits of what you're doing, or odd thoughts, or converse back and forth with other people.
I consider it a public texting.
TwitPic is a posting spot for pictures you take, and people can leave comments.
I really only post pics from home, and occasional comments from work, but mainly from home as well, from my computer. So I'm not super active.
