once again just a friendly disagreement :D

is it really much of a issue..i mean id love to hear how this would personally affect someone in such a way that they dont wanna give anyone a chance to have a spot to talk about what they want with people who agree with them or with people who dont, once again noone will force you at pitchfork-point and make you go to that part of the forum...
sorry if i come off condescending or rude with some of these points i just do not understand why 14 of you would vote against a place for the 34 of us who voted yes to discuss hybrids..it is ball-pythons.net but you have forums for just about everything else under the sun..the least you could do is give it a trial period and if its too much for too little , then yall can kick it to the curbs if you want. once again i apologize if i offended anyone...

    peace

In a small online community, every vote could be the swinging vote to win the Admins over. So, I don't blame him for taking a bit of time.

Every time I see a poll (including the Photo of the month threads) I review it, and come back later to vote. I want to make sure that I am certain my vote goes to the best suited option (in my opinion).

but is it really the best suited option to deny people the right to discuss anything?? All i want is for one person who voted no to explain to me why they feel its in their right to deny another human the right to discuss what they want in a forum...and you wonder why lucas posted a thread about another site i wonder if the 14 who voted against it are the same people who constantly bash hybrids to the point where he felt alienated.... maybe im missing something (which is usually the case)
and for the person who said they havent voted because you wanna take your time, sorry. that was the easiest route to this discussion, at the time, and i guess being from america this whole freedom of speech has me spoiled.
    thanks guys.

Agreed, I am all for the Hybrid forum. However, Some people don't want to see a Hybrid section. Which is completely understandable. I have met people with an intense dislike for Hybrids. Like Bruce said, if someone is known to make inter/intra-species hybrids, they are blacklisted from that community.

Personally, I think making a hybrid forum would cut way back on the conflict. While friendly debates are the life blood of this forum (and all forums), constant bashing is not. Anyone with a passionate dislike for hybrids could avoid that section.

    Just my opinion.

I agree, partially. I believe everyone has a right to their vote. They obviously had a reason for that vote, and I have no right to question it. Just like Lucas has the right to poll for the possibility of the forum, and you had the right to vote for it, people have the right to vote against it. That is part of democracy.

Ultimately, it's up to the Admins though, so..while we can ASK for something, it's their decision to do what is best suited for the forum.

Voting no on having a separate forum doesn't deny anybody from talking about it. Hell, just browse through the blood python forum and see how many superball threads you can find. No one's been denied of anything.

On a side note, I voted yes, so the superball threads get moved out of the blood python forum. lol

You do know that your constitutionally given rights don't mean squat here on this privately owned and run site, right?

And you do know that no one has been denied the right or even permission to speak on hybrids, right?

So what's got your panties in a wad?

The fact that you cannot phrase a question in a non-combative format is whose problem? Right......

So, to sum up, no rights have been voided. No one has said NO it won't happen at all, a few, whose opinions were specifically queried, answered.

Oh, and one oddball, a REALLY weird guy, wanted to think before he answered.

    Heh.

Personally, just so you know, I didn't vote. I don't care if there is a forum here for a really good reason. No one here is going to influence my making or not making hybrids. I've been breeding jungle corns and pyroXblairs crosses for decades. Like I care if someone doesn't like it.

Those of you who do or don't based on public opinion alone are, well, rather pathetic.

If you want to talk hybrids, talk. If someone is rude or mean, either put them on ignore or learn to argue better than they do OR, learn that the only person you need to be happy with is you. Be honest and let the rest fret over the nonsense.
