I hope today's surgery goes well also.

I hope so too Casey. Today's surgery was a bit postponed due to a bad turn he took yesterday. Body temp and respiration dropped significantly. They even signed a DNR. He is currently in surgery, even though he is not as strong as they would like him to have been. If he didn't have the surgery today, then he had no chance of coming through this at all.

It's been a really rough day for me and my family, all trying to hope for the best but still sorta bracing ourselves for the worst. I'm just not ready to lose my grandfather, although I don't think there will ever be a time that I'm ready for that. :tears:

He is still in Intensive Care, and underwent another surgery yesterday. He seems to be holding his own, even when we didn't think he'd make it through another surgery. He's undergoing dialysis but his kidney function is on the rise. He seems to be making small steps in the right direction, but is still under sedation and the infection is still not cleared up completely. It's been an up and down rollercoaster and I still flinch a bit when the phone rings.

Yes, Jeremy they are in Daytona. I really appreciate your offer. That is so sweet. Right now, my dad and stepmom plus numerous aunts and uncles are there helping out. We're lucky that we have such a large family that is able to help out. I've offered to come down as well, but they seem to have everything well in hand.

Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers. :)
