BTW IMO no average person, myself included, should have a dog that would actually bite someone. Barking and looking scary is more than enough for most people.

Very true. a gsd can "Deter" somebody or atleast make them think twice if they are going to rob you or whatever. the only reason i train in protection and schtzhund is for the dog to have an outlet for energy. fetch and walks just dont do it for most of these dogs they need a strenuous activity and a "Job" if you will
