Re: How do you get over an addiction to internet forums?
I don't think spending a lot of time on one forum is really an addiction. When I first started with the forums I was a member of more forums than I can even remember at this point. I would spend hours going to each forum to post the same pictures and ended up having the same conversations on all of them with the same people from the other forums I was a member of. I actually run across a "new" forums every once in a while and try my user name and old passwords to see if I have an account and I normally do.
Between my computer crashing and loosing my bookmarks and more recently dealing with all the bs that seems to flood other forums I have cut back considerably on the number of forums I post to. I still spend a few hours daily on my forum and only post to a couple others now.
If you really want to cut back on the ammount of time you are online simply turn off your computer and go do something that you will enjoy and will take your mind off of it. Watch a movie, play a game, etc. (The Wii is a great way to find something else to do.)
