    Jason, I think in Teagan's case it was Mike and I simply being stupid. We purchased her from an unknown at Taylor. I now believe she was likely captive hatched and simply had not been hydrated properly or even started at all after shipping in. We very stupidly fell in love with this young snake and didn't make the correct inquiries about the seller or ask enough questions.

    It is my understanding that liver failure can occur with these babies if they aren't dealt with correctly after importation. If Teagan was the import I suspect she actually was, then a lot of the issues with this particular baby snake make more sense now. At the time it was just sad and awful.

    Sorry about your loss J! You become attached to these animals, and it's very hard when these things happen.....keep your head up bro, you couldn't prevent this one, and it's not your fault!

    Thanks for the input. This girl came with a group from a good breeder, my guess is that it was a random death. Hopefully I can find something else out.

    She was 50% possible het pied.
