Re: Thank you poop gods.....and Kara lol.
I'll try the swim tomorrow. Thanks everyone, I tend to worry too much about my Pythons sometimes. :rolleye2:

I'd bet if he's lookin a little fuller than normal. And its been that long. That the swim would work.
Just keep a close eye on him. Good luck tomorrow!!!
Give us an update on how it goes.

K, If he hasn't gone in that long....either I'd go to the vet and get X-rays...or you need to do something.
That is a long long time, and I doubt swimming will trigger him to poop. Who knows though.
All it took for me was trying to give mine medicines orally, and a little manual everting from me.
Good luck.
Mike

Well that swim thing didn't do much but I guarantee, never in all your life, will you see a Blood Python move so fast as to put them into a tub of water! Total greased lightning.
Anyway a trip to the Vet seems to be the only option left to this poop issue.

I see this has been answered in another thread started by Earl...interesting and hilarious story, haha!
Re: Thank you poop gods.....and Kara lol.
Here's a follow-up to my blood's poop situation!
Back in January I had to take my blood to a vet because he was impacted. I went 2 weekends in a row with the first enema (1st week) making my blood spew out the rock hard urates. The 2nd weekend after, the enema had my blood letting loose all the stored feces. The vet commented she had never seen a snake with that kind of "mess" before, LOL.
Since then, my blood had not defecated. I woke up this morning to find my blood had shed - and also noticed a huge pile of "logs" in the enclosure which will require a total enclosure disinfection and clean up. Since I acquired my blood as a yearling in August '07, this has been the first time he's natually "let go". After the vet trip in January, I was always worried that there may have been some nerve damage, etc. where he wouldn't be able to "go" on his own. But surprise surprise! A big relief I'm sure it was for my blood - and me, haha! :)
