Possible Hets rock!

wouldn't you know, the albinos are the last ones in the eggs!
i'd like to share some more of my story on my albino project. i usually don't go into details, but i think this may help some appreciate balls and some breeders more.

over 3 yrs. ago i went and purchased a 2.3 clutch of possible hets from adam of 8BallPythons. this was my first deal into recessive morphs. i liked and still like albinos, they pop and are bright. couldn't wait to grow these girls up and produce albinos!

a year goes by and girls are growing well. i'm ready to get an albino male. i check with adam early in the season, he hasn't hatched any yet. i get my albino male from another breeder. later that season i run into a deal on a couple adult poss. het albino girls. i get these girls in and in a few months they are acclimated and ready to breed.

my albino male is still a baby and to small to breed. one day at adam's shop, he asks me if i want to use one of his breeder albino males? of course i said yes! i asked him how much? and what are the terms? his reply was,
"we'll work it out"

so i borrow his albino and breed that season. only one of the two girls goes that season. one no eggs, the other one was all slugs!! my albino project was not going as planned and patience is a mofo!!

so this year is my 2nd year trying to breed albinos and my 3rd year raising up hets. that is why proving this girl out has been so sweet. i purchased this girl from adam, and will give him props! why? because i feel like it...

adam has helped my albino project more than i could ask for. even though the majority of my albino project investment dollars wasn't spent with him!!

I can name two that I know personally. And both are breeders who have demonstrated to me time and time again that I'm more than just $ in their pocket. One I haven't had the pleasure of buying from yet, and still they answer my endless questions, and have become a dear friend to me. Both I know that I can call at any time, day or night, and they'll be there.

I know that there are more out there, but they are in the minority for sure.

Unfortunately, jealousy is an ugly beast - and the hateful comments hurt not only their intended target, but those of us who truly care about our friends. It certainly puts them on the top of my do not buy list.

Congrats again Vaughn! You deserve it!

Its awesome to see good hard work pay off. You may have missed it last year, but it looks like karma made up for it!

Vaughn, there are good breeders then there are good breeders who are also good people. Most of us know who they are. :) Congrats again on your albino project, you're one of the good people and you deserve this wonderful result.

Congrats! Personally, Poss. Hets scare the hell out me. I am glad all the time you spent raising that girl was worth while. :)
