Get yourself a male Spider, one or more female Pastels and one or two female Lessers. They'll get the job done! But first get as many info as you can before even buying a normal ball, then get one pair of balls. You can always buy more later. Get some experience first :)

When I start to get into breeding, outside of my normal male and female that is, I plan to start with that setup, just toned down, gonna start with a Spider and a Pastel, does the sex of the morph really matter?

Not really, with some morphs the females are more expensive than the males or the other way around. It depends on what you want to "make". I bought a male Spider and female Mojave, because i already have a 1.1 Pastel. Next year I want to make a Super Pastel, and the year after a Pastel Mojo and a Bumblebee :D
