My favorite would have to be the snappers and water mocs. They are everywhere here, except right now...too darn cold!

I love redbelly snakes (Storeria occipitomaculata) which is Minnesotas smallest snake maxing out at just over 10 inches. Otherwise I like little eastern hognoses, that pig face is to die for.

Haha, sorry man...just a local name I guess. I do know if you get bit by them you get sick for a day or two. I know that one for a personal fact. :(

Northern massasaugas are pretty cool, but rare. We have some of those here and there. I guess my favorite snake around here would be probably be a Red bellied Racer (I think that's what they are called), but they are impossible to keep due to the fact that they mostly eat slugs and baby frogs. Fast little buggers! They rise up half of their body off the ground when the move. Very neat to watch.

Favorite species in Nebraska is the Copperhead. Favorite I have caught would be the Black Rat Snake. Hes a couple pics of the one I caught up the road

I've found that the Black Rats in the Nebraska/Iowa area seem to have the red/orange/pink color on them.

Out of the uk lizards ive always had a soft spot for the slow worm but the sand lizards are just too cool :) , out of our snakes its a tie between the adder and the smooth snake with the Grass snake coming in a very close second place :)
