funny because my 7 foot boa can fit in a hide. it is a kitty litter pan turned upside down with a hole in the front. It will fit in a 100 g tank and even a 16 gallon tank

Whoa whats the problem here? When you become a member here you first contacted me thru a pm and was asking questions about your ball python. Now a few months later you have become a "who cares what you tell me i dont care" person.Simple fact here YOUR NOT PROPERLY CARING FOR YOUR SNAKES!! Yes i used caps to maybe get my message thru to you.If you dont have the "freind" personal numbers then how is he a freind? I have several breeders numbers (cell and home) and call them anytime.Thats a freind and someone you can trust. If he does not freely give you his other contact numbers incase you need something. Then he is not someone i would trust for his "word" and not quarintine any reptiles from him.If i bought a reptile from GOD it would follow the same quarintine rules just like everyone else!Everyone is just trying to help you here,if you dont want advice DONT ASK FOR IT! Now as far as my kid (daughter)she is well cared for and rarely gets sick.Do you want to know why? Simple because she has proper foods, housing, properly heated home and a doctor on call if ever needed.I care for my snakes the same ways as my child because its the PROPER ways!!

Please if you are not willing to give your snakes the correct and best housing and care... Please do them a favor and re home them. Someone else out there will be all about giving these snakes a good home.

Also like everyone else has said... do not come here asking for advice and then just turn your nose up and ignore it. We are only trying to help you and your snakes out in the end.

Oh my, you're back. The people here have given you great advice such as they did last time. I see your attitude has not improved since your rude PMs to me.
Hopefully you'll see some sense in what people have posted for you. They really have the animals best interest in mind.

a medium rat is more than a ball python needs, especially if being fed once a week. you say you use a screen top, what is your humidity since they suck for holding in humidity. if he fits under the hide and lifts it a little, it's okay. as long as he can curl up and feel safe. if he does not feel safe he will more than likely be searching around the tank.

I'll disagree with you on that, and we don't know the sizes of the snakes in question, so why don't we worry about what this guy is obviously doing wrong instead of nit-picking.

I'm pretty sure that the Sun-Glow bulbs are a white light, and should not be used 24/7 because they can mess with the snake's photoperiod. An infared or ceramic heat emitter would be better.

    Good luck with your snakes.

There is never a need to feed a Ball Python anything larger than a small rat.
