Jeez. How many things could you be doing wrong so far?
Seperate them. They each need an enclosure. How big are they? For typical pet store ball pythons a 55 gallon tank is too large. Heat rocks will burn them. Get a under-tank-heater, ditch the heat rock. Get rid of the sand. Get a snake bedding, like cypress mulch, NOT pine, NOT cedar.
They need hide boxes on the warm and cool sides of the enclosure and they need humidity. In their OWN enclosures.
Now you have a project to keep ya busy.

The cage is a 10 gal and they both get each a cage each cage has 2 caves on on the cold and warm side. I heat it by a heat pad at bottom of the cage and a light bulb. It think it is right heat. It is in aspen sheddings. it feeds once a week. is that right?

So you were just lying the first time you posted, then switched it to what? Get your jollies?
    That's really immature and stupid.

I think that means they're separated.
EDIT: my bad, i skipped a page.
Can't answer for you, but if they are together, that can become serious. Did y'all do any research before getting these? It really doesn't look like it. Looks liek you're more prepared for a gecko.

wow that's a little different than what you had before you edited. you said they were sharing a 55 gallon tank, with one hide that one used and the other sat on top of and they had a heat rock for warmth. oh and use sand for substrate.

    so which is it?

Sorry, but that is a great way to end up with sick or even dead snakes. You never, ever, EVER want to use a heat rock inside a snake's cage. They get extremely hot (110ºF+, enough to burn a snake and your finger), and it does nothing except heat itself, not the cage around it. Also, cohabitating snakes (keeping in the same enclosure) is always a bad idea, as is only providing one hide. One of the two snakes will become dominant over the other and will get what it wants, i.e. the best spot in the cage. Cannibalism is also a possibility, although rare. If one of the snakes happened to get sick, the other would get sick. If one were to poop irregularly, how would you know which one it was? You may "save" a little money by keeping two to a cage, but the drawbacks far exceed that one so-called benefit.

Once again, I'm sorry if you take this the wrong way, but we only want what is best for the snakes, starting with them each having their own home. Check out the caresheet we have on ball pythons for further information regarding their requirements.

Edit: haha, I went to write this but then put the computer on screen saver to go have dinner. I come back and everyone's already responded to what he said! LOL And depending on which story of his is true, my comment may not be relevant to this discussion anymore.

Well, it's not so much that you lied, but you are doing your snakes an injustice by having ill-fitting housing for them. Please, tell your dad or show this page to him about what you need to do to have these snakes in well fitted, separate tanks.

I thought every body was going crazzy until some one else posted what he said the BEFOR he edited. I agree with others, dont lie to try and make yourself look good. Everyone on this site is here to help out new and experienced owners. So next time, instead of lieing about it so obviously, let us give you some pointers so you snakes will live and not die.
Thanks and I hope you listen
