I guess the person who said 'go with the banner breeders' would be wrong as well.
    I wouldn't say I was wrong. I actually said:

Look around the banners on this site if you want hets....

Spiders are a dominate gene. So no hets are produced.

You may want to study up alittle more before jumping into breeding. :2cent:

Actually most spiders are het. When you breed a het spider to a het spider (keep in mind they all look like spiders) you get some het spiders and possibly a homozygous spider. If you breed a homozygous to a normal, you get all het spiders.

Every single dominant, co dom, simple recessive, double recessive, etc has hets

Technically you are right. The problem is when most people hear "het" they think a normal looking animal carrying one allele of a recessive gene. Its confusing to some people when animals carrying co-dominant or dominant genes are referred to as heterozygous carriers.

Brad, I'm not meaning to be argumentative. I'm just trying to say that no matter who it is the buyer should still do their homework, can we agree on that? :)

Speaking of hets there seems to be a rather suprising ad on KS by a rather large breeder. Pied fans anyone?
