Emergency!!!! My Kid Has Been Kidnapped!!!

WOW!, i am so glad there are caring people on this site. thank you all sooooooo much. ok i will try to answer everyone questions. ok i am his father i am seperated from his mother living in another state, hence why i was online trying anything i could. my son has been checked and cleared, blood work included no drugs or alcohol in his system. trust me i would love to mess this guy up, but it was my wife not me who chose this guy, and that has changed after this nightmare. my son was returned shortly after the cops were called, yes but the child was missing anywere between 12-18 hours yesterday, there was numerouse phone calls to his cell and text messages to him letting him know to return the child and that the cops have been contacted. that was when he decided it was time to call his mom and return with my son. and with them not issueing an amber alert when he returned no kidnapping charges could be filed, i do not agree with that but i am not the cops. i hope this has cleared everyons questions if not post them here and i will do all i can to answer them for you. once again a BIG, HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE ON BP.NET for their caring thoughts and comments.

on a side note, i love my kids soooo much, and i have never felt so helpless when this happened, living in another state not being able to do much of anything to find my kid. this was the scariest thing i have ever gone thrue and hope and pray i never have to again.

So here in Florida we have what is called an Amber alert, I child goes missing and its posted on the news, radio and on our interstate/turnpike digital signs. We also have an alert that goes out if a child is lost in a store, called code Adam. Both of these happen the minute someone says there child is missing. It was my understanding that 24 hour after the fact law was for adults. I ran away as a child and they were on me with in the hour. The 24 hour law is for our cops sanity, that way there they dont have to go chasing after ever tom :cens0r::cens0r::cens0r::cens0r: and harry that leaves his wife, gets drunk and passes out in an alley or who just wants to leave and start a new life.
If your wife was told they have to wait 24 hour before searching for a toddler, then I would a) take it to court and b) move out of that state. That child could of been in a ditch some where, and your telling me the cops said they had to wait 24 hours, he was with a non-family member male.....this in my opinion would be reason enough to start looking ASAP.

So I dont know what to think about this.

i was miss informed, it was not a 24 hour wait since he was missing, it was a certain time with out contact before sending out and amber alert, i think(no positive 2 hours), and just as they were making the call to do that is when he pulled up in the car. trust i think it is total B.S. because i know if it was their kid it would have been 2 mins not 2 hours.

i have yet to speak to my lawyer waiting on him to return my call at this time, but i will be up-dating as i get more info.

i'm sorry... i assumed you were his mother... sorry dad!

Actually, the Amber Alert originated in the DFW area, named for a little girl who went missing from Arlington.

There is no 24 hour wait for an Amber Alert here, either. Or a 2 hour wait, for that matter. It can be activated as soon as law enforcement determines there is a child missing and in danger.

I'm with ya there! There has been absolutely no mention of this on the news in the DFW area, I do know that much.

I knew the Amber alert was started elswhere I believe her name was Amber Brown? I was just saying that I thought it was every where since that law was passed. I dont know *shrugs*
If this is a joke/lie, well then it takes a sad sad person to think this is in any way funny, or something smart to do to get attention, it gets attention alright, attention that you shouldnt have children if this is your idea of a good laugh.

Her name was Amber Hagerman, and yeah, it has spread pretty far. 45 other states are using it now. It's a great program!

I agree with you. I don't think it's a joke, but it's still very hard to figure out. I know I would not be on an internet forum reading different threads if my child were missing.

I would be as far away from a computer as possible, and as close to the kidnapper; I'd be gnawing off their arm or something. I don't have kids, but if it were, say my niece; someone would be going down.
