I know this may be crazy talk but everyone that buys a snake like that buys it w/ the intent to breed ?????

I know if I had money I would buy it for 13k just to have it in my collection w/ no intent of breeding. I would assume there are other folks out there who feel like I do and have the cash. Or am I waaayyy off base? If you are buying just to collect backround etc doesn't really matter.

I want a Pie and I will never breed it. I am just a collector of things :)

You should see my sports collection and card collection.

First off, collecting live animals is a bit off. Although I am sure that you in particular take wonderful care of them, and adore them like the rest of us do. Just pointing out that a lot of people buy something and discard just as easily when it is not longer the currant fad or style.
And if I had the $13K yeah I would buy it in a heartbeat. BEL that COULD produce lessers, mojaves, etc etc, or even a brand new morph? Yeah, well worth the money, but remember too that it will be a while before you could breed her, as I have been told that a lot of WC females refuse to breed for quite a while. Being so young, maybe this would not be true.
But my personal opinion that snatching up a new morph out of africa for $20K to gamble on its genetics is no different. He should state right out that they are WC.
Wish I had of had $13K.
And yeah, I could DEFINATELY see someone dropping $13K on a pure white Ball python for just a pet. It would be an awesome animal all on its own.
I have seen people spend more for a dog, and loads more for a gelded horse.

I would MOST DEFINATELY buy it for a pet ONLY... if I had the cash. For someone like me, if I just wanted one in my collection for its uniqueness from anything else I may possess, this would be the opportunity for me to have it at a lower cost.. b/c breeding is not something I want to do anyhow.

Yeah, but whatever it does produce ( and i guess the question is if it produces)is a het for that BEL.. that's still real. If it wasn't something the market already has, wouldn't be good for a breeder to have it first?
