Fair enough. I suspect I would suffer the same fluctuations living in the gulf coast as well. Really nice setup though. Best of luck over the weekend.....

Not too mention, I have my trusted Helix controllers.

    Well worth the $125.00 IMO!

Hey ssscales, I was looking at the helix and the herpstat and I must say "Herpstat" hands down. I think I'm going to fork over the extra bucks for the Heprstat II. Right out of the box its a screamer product.

That's cool. I've USED both and I must say "Helix" hands down! :D

Good luck with your purchase! ;)

Good choice, I'm glad you're happy with your Herpstat thermostat. I've read a few good post about them. I personally will continue to use and more importantly "trust" Helix with my temperature needs for my cages, racks or incubators.

Personally, I don't see what the big debate is between Herpstat and Helix. They both seem like quality, dependable thermostats, and aside from their small differences such as a slightly different numerical output, I can't see how one would say "this one is hands down the best one to get". I'm sure we can find people that have experienced both of them failing from time to time, so unless someone can produce verifiable numbers to show failure rates, it just seems like a preference issue.

Now, does anyone want to debate your Mac vs. my PC? :P

Slighty out of date pictures of my snake room. Over the weekend the Sarawak and the IJCP's got moved to bigger rubbermaids.

And just for kicks....I'll post some pictures of my invert room in a different thread.
