Re: Snakes in a hotel??????
Someone can have the bed in my room.....because I know if I go to Daytona, I will end up sleeping in the bathtub anyways....just be warned.....I like to cry, tell everyone that I love them, and talk about the mighty Pearl River (my hometown) when the Turkey gets to talkin ;)
Re: Snakes in a hotel??????
A bed is much more comfy than the previous tub, I was going to sleep in. I may just have to go to watch!! LOL! :giggle:
Re: Snakes in a hotel??????
LOL Daniel! You know if you were my hubby and did that, I'd just have to "accidentally" forget you were sleeping it off in the bathtub and flip on the shower first thing in the morning (icey cold of course).
:devilish:

Did someone say TURKEY? .... SOLD! ... Bring the tissues brother ... we'll laugh, we'll cry, we'll offend, we'll break stuff, we'll get thrown out, and then we'll start REALLY throwing them back.
Nothing like walking around the expo all day with a sledge hammer inside your head trying to get out! ;)

Re: Snakes in a hotel??????
I'm probably going to go ahead and book a room at LaQuinta (about six miles away - the one that's closer is twice as much per night). LaQuinta allows pets, and we're probably bringing our dog since we hate boarding her - plus it's an added expense that I could use on buying snakes instead, so I'm not as concerned about "sneaking in" a ball python if needed. However, I'll probably still be discreet.
I was actually thinking about this too. Would one of those long lasting heat pads work for a temporary solution (the ones that are included in shipping in cooler weather)?
And no, I don't have approval for the time off yet, but I'm going to reserve the room. I just have to give 24 hour cancellation notice.
Re: Snakes in a hotel??????
Geeeezzzzz you guys are gonna have way too much fun without me! Maybe some miracle will happen that I could attend......I'll be on the lookout for one!
Re: Snakes in a hotel??????
It would probably take an act of congress or a miracle from on high for Mike and I to make it to Daytona this year but we'll be thinking about you all there having a blast.
We're hoping to meet some of you great people at Chicago this fall though. :)

i hope you do get to come robin. :) i'm not sure about the heat pad because i'm just not familiar with exactly what they are, but you could always just pick up some 40 hour heat packs: http://superiorenterprise.com/catalo...roducts_id=229.
Re: Snakes in a hotel??????
Some vendors may also hold the animals for you (after you've paid!) until the last day of the show.
Re: Snakes in a hotel??????
I have an idea for you....i use it to transport my snakes all the time. Get a plastic "tool/craft box" with a handle, (colored not clear) drill some small holes in it, add a thick layer of bedding and a small water dish, and get some of those instant heat packs or an icy hot pack to provide heat for the journey. I used this method when i took a young BP with me on vacation, and it worked great.
