What's your next snake?

After receiving the four I'm getting from Adam shortly (paid for and waiting... somewhat impatiently for Boaphile to finish my rack!! :) ), I'll be getting some het pieds, some het albinos, some het axanthics.. and HOPEFULLY a spider. (yeah.. not some, just one).

Then in a year or so, a bunch of males to go with all of 'em... except the spider, which will be male to begin with.

That sounds like fun. :)

Well the next snake should be here tomorrow! LOL A fantastic 100% het for albino male ball python from our favorite breeder - Adam of 8BallPythons. Then probably next a nice 100% het for orange ghost male ball python. After that as far as balls go...a male pastel from Adam.

As far as other snakes...the middle two kids are saving madly for their female albino Nelson's Milksnake and male het for albino Nelson's Milksnake. Mike would like to get a nice male Black Milksnake (he loves the amazing color change they go through).

At some point we'd love to have a Surinam BCC or Columbian BCI as thanks to fostering Becky's snake we've now fallen in love with someday raising our own larger boa (gosh they are nice tempered big snakes!).

I personally just want MORE ROOM for tubs!!!!!! :P

*snatching up the "houses for rent" ads yet again trying to find a bigger house that won't mess up the snake budget!*

I think I have enough for now :) I enjoy the four I have, and having any more, I think, would make it too much of a chore for me. But I do plan on breeding next year; I love my female's clean pattern and she deserves to be bred :) I will probably sell the offspring; I already have several people who would want one; I will probably keep one though :)

Wha??????? How did I miss that? You're getting a 100% het albino male TOMORROW????? Drooling!!!!!!

I am trading my 2.5 year old female albino hybrid colubrid in for a big sweet beefy black "blood" (Sumatran short tail) 2-3 year old female this weekend at the swap.

I gotta get her tub ready, it's sitting here in the living room. I"ll post pictures when she settles in....you guys might have to wait until I come back from vacation on the 21st though!

I'm a little nervous about her first feeding (just the feeding response from a snake that size), but I'm looking forward to having a big beefy snake around. I don't think I'll ever get anything bigger than a short tail. (Granted, I have a Sarawak short tail, but he's a little baby).

After that, my next snake will probably be another ball. I have this 100% male het for hypo and no het/visible hypo in my collection. No more new snakes this year, and probably not until after tax return comes in and I pay down some bills. Also, I need another rack.

Ah.. I love sumatran short tails. Can't wait to see pics.

I am getting an albino Bp once I am more secure in my new job. Don't care what my boyfriend says, lol it would actually take up less space than a third horse.. but, be much more expensive!
