I chose Soundgarden. I prefer harder sounds and SG takes the cake in this group. And Chris Cornell is the best vocalist out of the bunch. Never did I have to listen to one of his songs several times or read the lyrics to know what he was singing. Unlike pretty much every other singer for these bands. Truly a man taken too soon.

have u been to Rudy's Can't Fail, the diner next to The Fox Theater in downtown Oakland? it's co-owned by Mike Dirnt of Green Day and named after The Clash song. my office was up the street on Thomas L. Berkeley Way (20th Ave) and we used to go there sometimes.

I sure most know about black hole sun the song but how about the weird 90's video. I like the video btw. I like how in some of the scenes it portrays how sadistic people can be like burning the ants or the girl burning the Barbie doll.

I'm not sure what my favorite grunge band is but since I posted the video I voted for soundgarden.

Nirvana, always felt they were a groundbreaking band. I consider them on of the best ever, grunge or not. All these years later I listen to pearl jam more often than nirvana, but I think that's just a case of a larger selection of songs to chose from.

I saw Janes Addiction just before they made it big. I'd never even heard of them, but they were opening for Iggy Pop at a smallish club on Fort Lauderdale beach. Both bands went off that night. Still one of the greatest shows I've ever seen.
