Maybe I'm just missing something, but how is this clutch dual sired? It's been a while since I've dabbled in genetics, but it looks like a single sire to me.
Either way, beautiful babies. Pieds have always been a favorite of mine.
Thanks K! Female regular pied was paired with a pastel pied and another regular pied during the breeding course. One of the hatchlings pictured is a pastel pied. Two others are not. Then the other two have pipped but have not emerged from the egg fully.

That doesn't make it dual-sired. It makes it "Who's Your Daddy?" on the non-Pastel Pieds. There is no way to tell from this pairing who the sire is on the non-Pastels. Odds and genetics easily explain how you have both Pastel and non-Pastel Pied hatchlings in this clutch even if you only paired with the Pastel Pied male.

My thoughts exactly! It is possible that it is dual sired, but because of the pairing, there is really no way to know for sure.
Still a great clutch with excellent results. :)

1000%. Dual sired or not, there's never a bad day when you're hatching healthy BPs! Major kudos, Albert.
