BHB ships with FedEx directly, and they should provide you great service and communication in case of any delays or issues.

Proper packaging is what protects the animals from any harm or damage during shipping. Reptiles do very well in shipping, that's what makes the entire industry possible, and why you can't just ship dogs or cats using Overnight service, because they don't handle the shipping in the same way.

As for leaving it on your doorstep with no knock or signature, that is standard procedure. Unless your package is booked with Delivery Confirmation ("signature required", which is an additional charge) then the driver may leave the package without a signature or human being in what they consider to be a "safe place". That could be directly on your doormat, behind a plant, or under a deck chair. IF they encounter a live human, they will get a signature, but they aren't required to get a signature unless Del Conf has been specifically paid for.

It is your responsibility to be anticipating the eminent arrival of your package. Check to confirm the Guaranteed Time of delivery. Most addresses is 10:30am, but some are noon, and some rural addresses are 4:30pm. Watch your tracking and if you see it updated as "delivered", go to the door and look for your package.

It's exciting to receive your first (or hundredth) new reptile by overnight shipping!
