Growing up, mom would take me to Reno once a year to go skiiing (the ski was for me, she just wanted to gamble lol) but I've haven't lived in the snow since I was too little to remember. I will miss being able to see the ocean if I want to but I haven't even done that in years so no big loss.

It is surprising any time I'm talking to someone here in CA and they mention never having seen the snow. :O

I was born in Hawaii, then raised in San Diego during my teens and early twenties, and now I live in Arizona. I have no idea what this "snow" you speak about is. ;)

As someone from Green Bay, Emily, I need a winter in Florida to like snow again. We have already had three days of snow, and today it is 19°. It is going to be a long winter. Sigh.

Actually, I would take a Seattle winter right now as a compromise.

Here in East Texas it may snow lightly once or twice every year or two. It’s a nice change of pace and it’s usually gone in a day or two. I would not want to deal with it for a full season.

    Heck I haven’t worn a winter coat in 30 years. I only wear a jacket 10-20 days a year.

Hope you are enjoying Montana Ax.

I'm in the mid-south & this arctic blast swooped all the way here...gave us about 1.5-2" of snow, some of which is still around on the ground with many white
roof-tops...it's too dang cold to melt! We hit a record 13* the night before last which was a record low since they had 17* in 1921; last night was a balmy 14*.

I do enjoy "a few snow storms" each winter (as I had previously for many years in the high desert), but y'all in the north can keep the rest, bitter cold included. At least today we're making it above freezing...
