SHE REFUSED FOOD FOR THE FIRST TIME. And I just bought 3 live rats for her, so I might have to gas them eventually if she keeps refusing.

Yay or nay. The world may never know.

Ah! Congrats. Good sign. As to the rats the good outweighs the bad. It's not to hard to "take care of" a few adults without gas. Just do what needs to be done and in the freezer they go.

    Just keep being patient! :)
    Locks are a great sign.
The pair that gave me my first BP clutch last year were paired and locked multiple times (TONS of times) for about 8 months before she finally had her clutch.
With time, we'll probably all get better at recognizing the signs of building to be able to better time the male introductions so they don't spend so much time 'just having fun' haha!
I continue to wish you the best of luck with them!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Don't gas them ... you now have 3 pet rats. Larry, Curly, and Moe :groinkick:bonk:

Definitely, I've actually tried snapping even little weaned rats in the past... It did not work. It was very sad. It's a lot harder than it looks! I did have to gas them.

Thanks! Gosh yeah, I've seen people pair for 8 months or so before ovulation. Hope I don't have to do that! LOL

:P Too bad, not this time... They all have very skittish and fearful personalities. :\ I actually considered keeping two the last time I bought a group of rats for my girl, who were really chill and nice rats, but my girl had to eat.

Urr, just updating that she ate food again last night. So I have no idea what this girl's on about! *shakes fist*

Watch when it turns out she's infertile or something LOL.
