Congrats on the first successful feeding B. I'd skip the pinkys altogether and put that girl on mice hoppers or better still rat fuzzys. Carpets can take down pretty large prey and pinkys don't have as much nutritional value as a more mature prey item.

Same here. I've fed Edith 3 times and each time she would not take it off of the tongs so I let it lay there and each time it is gone the next morning. Also, she handles really well. She has yet to bite or musk.

Yeah, only have a couple of pinkies left then will move up. Thanks for the help. As always, really appreciate it (and so do my snakes!).

Last week Ying the Bredli took a mouse *sideways*. She looked like she swallowed a baseball. [emoji1]

She normally gets small adult rats, but I was trying to use up some small adult mice. She and my JCP are both great feeders - any rodent, any time, thankyouverymuch!

My little worm is doing great - still a bit defensive when she hasn't been out for awhile (after feeding). But I noticed a couple of days ago, right after her last meal that her colours are a little on the drab side and today her eyes are really cloudy. So excited that she is shedding and can't wait to see how she turns out. I'll post some pics when she is done. Yeehaw!!:taz:

She's going to look better and better with each shed for the next few years B. She'll finally show her true colors when she's about 2. Your girl is gorgeous now but she'll only get nicer. Keep sharing those pics. :)

What a great snake she is turning out to be - no problem eating (actually grabs her rat fuzzy in mid-air almost all of the time as she hangs out on her thermometer/hygrometer a lot) and very rarely goes in her hide. She is turning out to be quite a display snake as she is always out somewhere in her enclosure. She is super to handle now and comes out quite easily, seeming to love to explore. About three weeks ago I got a Brazilian Rainbow (had been looking long and hard for one of those, too!). I was told about how difficult he was to handle but he comes out for me with no issues. He is a bit of a handful when out though as he is faster than any of my other snakes but sometimes he just chills with me. He is a fantastic eater and is about 4 feet long but not very thick. His colouring is spectacular!
