I currently have a ibook g4. I switched over from a gateway m350. All the schools I went to always used Windows so I grew up with them. I eventually grew to hate it and it hated me. Always freezing and crashing, plus all the virus software taking up alot of Gb space. Hated it. I love my mac, it just fits me and how I work better.

Windows is better for games but since I am not a gamer my mac takes care of my internet, photo manipulation, and just general computer needs. It makes me happy and I tend to not be so stressed. Plus it has not crashed once.

The bad is that some programs; ie crappy AOL, have only older versions of their software avaliable, which in my opinion is not fair. But there are some programs that are mac only that are awesome.

I use a duel processor g5 for all my web and image and video editing. The rendering time and shade and vector rates for the mac are 1000X grater than that of a PC. Every SFX including ILM and THX use Mac based systems. Thats how Mac has survived over the years with the PC boom in the public sector. Mac has catored to the pros that demand stable fast workhorse computing power.

Eh, we have Windows, Mac, and Linux machines in our business. You have to have them all for a good test environment. They each have their uses and limitations.
