Well, I couldn't use my real name ( somebody already had it). So, Bambi is the name of my pony mare that I bred. She is one of 3 horses of mine that I love to death. The 4th horse we own is my mothers, and she never liked me :P My avatar, I saw it in the avatar list and I absolutely love Gaboon Vipers. They're my favorite hot!

If you like fiction, read The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. Bradley is a pagan priestess. The book tells the classic King Arthur story, but from the perspective of the women. The really interesting thing is that Bradley's fiction is historically accurate in terms of pagan ritual and the conversion to Christianity. The Discovery channel usually has specials on around Halloween about the connections, so keep an eye out for that. There's also a ton of non-fiction available on subject.
For what it's worth, Bradley's The Firebrand takes the only school-assigned book that I refused to finish reading -- The Iliad -- and turns it into a fabulous retelling of a classic story. I also find the evolution of religions (to coin a contentious phrase) fascinating, particularly the parts that are deliberately excluded from the history provided to the casual student (such as the married popes, Martin Luther's extreme anti-semitism, and the fact that before the mass genocides perpetrated by followers of Christianity most of the world observed pagan or goddess-based religions).
Oh, and my name is my name and my avatar is by demand of the masses. Except when i get a whim to change it. ;)

I'm such a bundle of creative fun, that when I joined I had to make my username match my real name. I know, I know, you're all jealous of my creativity, but tough. :P
As for my avatar, I was looking for snake pics on google, and came across a cool looking pic. So I went into photoshop and spiced it up a bit. Must've done well because I've heard a few compliments on it. :)

Hey Podo, I know the drummer of A Perfect Circle (Josh). His brother and my boyfriend are very good friends. I've actually only seen A Perfect Circle once and that's because they were opening for NIN. We go see Josh more when he's playing with The Vandals, another band he's in.
My boyfriend also went to high school with someone from Kottonmouth Kings, but I'm not sure who. I never met him.
And I met Bradley Nowell from Sublime before he died.
Actually I've met a lot of people from bands, my boyfriends played in a bunch of bands, so you just tend to meet and hang out with a lot of musicians.
As for my username, my full name is Genevieve, but nobody calls me that. Everyone calls me Genna, but on message boards I go by gen for short.
