    You know if the humidity is always high, and its wet in the enclosure your little snakey can get belly rot.

    Also, you can put the damp paper towel on top of the mesh top, instead of the inside ... you get basically the same effect.

    67% isn't bad, but it is on the high side. i would try not using the paper towels for now. if the humidity goes back below 50% then either mist or make the humid hide. just covering the top can make a big difference.

    ok i did cover the top and the paper towel so i will take it out but if it goes down again then i will make the diy humid hide sometime this week

    67% Isn't horrible, but try getting your humidity high without getting the enclosure actually "wet"
    I never mist unless, my snake is in shed ... my humidity is in the mid-50s.

    Covering the top, make sure you have a good sized water bowel. Come back an hour or so and see if your humidity has changed with the top covered. Humidity doesn't automatically change as soon as you cover time. Give it a bit of time.

    If you have too difficult a time maintaining a good humidity level, chances are that your ambient humidity is affecting it and that your easiest way to fix it is going to be to switch to plastic housing. 67% is a little high but not bad, but what is bad is having wet substrate, which can lead to belly rot.

    ok the humidity is 52% since i took the paper towel out.
