I like baby corn in my stir fry or chow mein. They taste kind of....blah otherwise. Water chestnuts I'm crazy about, I always put an extra can in my Asian dishes. Someday I hope to try fresh, because like most things, I've been told canned doesn't compare to fresh. I'm okay with bamboo shoots also, as long as they are young and prepared well. Older ones or ones not cooked properly can have disgusting thick threadlike things in them that make them impossible to eat.
