This might help you put what you're asking for into perspective. There is a very popular (human) pregnancy book called 'What to Expect When You're Expecting'. It's 351 pages long and it doesn't cover how the baby actually got in there.
You are essentially asking for someone to write you a 300-??? page book on a forum. A lot of the people here are pretty helpful but everyone has limits!

This is very well put. I started out a few years ago and found a lot of information on this site, youtube, World of ball pythons, and through talking too and picking the brains of a number of very helpful breeders at the shows. Its a relatively small community with some very helpful people. I just had a great 3rd breeding season and produced some really nice animals.
The old saying of "There's more than one way to skin a cat" definitely applies. You'll find, maybe over the course of a few seasons, what works for you and what doesn't. Just because a big name breeder does something one way in their temperature controlled warehouse with a full-time staff, doesn't necessarily mean that you have to do it the same way. I suggest taking a look at WOBP to see what you like and/or would like to make. Always try to plan ahead with caging (you'll always need more space) and breeding plans. Try and make some contacts with local reptile/pet stores so that you can have a place to sell or trade the offspring. Then start applying the information gathered. Warning... you'll get hooked the first time you see little heads poking out of eggs. Most important piece of advice is to have think of the animals not the dollars and always have fun.... Good luck.

On that note, B.O.S....................Read first ""HERE""/ think about it, then decide.
Smaller breeders must have a passion because we all lose money every year on our collections.
If you think big breeders don't go in the red then you need to look at the whole picture.
It takes a lot of other things to keep you in the black. Also think about what they were paying for their original single gene morphs.
You current morph pricing value seems to drop every year as more people get into breeding and others try to undercut the market value to make a quick buck.
You are asking for a life time of knowledge that is different for all of us.

I have no desire to breed Ball Pythons unless (maybe) I started with something really nice. No one's going to buy an expensive snake, and take bad care of it (or not a lot of people anyways. I'm sure there are some people who have.). But at the same time, more expensive snakes seem like they'd be a harder to sell. So Idk. I am passionate about snakes, and my original plan was to (believe it or not) breed Ball Python's exclusively! Lol. I am from a really poor family. I wouldn't have a single snake if I didn't get a job when I turned 16. The reason I bring up being poor is because I have a lot to lose if I end up with a bunch of baby snakes that are too expensive to sell. I don't like all the risks that cone with breeding, as I've said before and I think I'm pretty content with just owning and loving my snakes!.... For now!
